Smaug the dragon guarding his treasure

This week we had a visit to the RHS Gardens at Rosemoor as the weather was so nice,(plenty of sun and warmth). If you are  in the vicinity of Torrington in Devon then these gardens are really worth a visit. As you would expect from the RHS ,every thing is done to a really high standard, from cultivating vegetables to planting herbaceous borders as well as magnificent collections of trees and shrubs.

One of the most striking things in the vegetable garden is   the wonderful fruit trees laden down with fruit. It goes to prove that with the right pruning, any one with a small area can grow apples, pears, etc. It was really a sight to see.
