Fly Agaric mushroom

November 17th, 2015

Found this little fellow showing through this morning. Never ever seen one in the grounds of Avery`s before. It was growing at the base of a silver birch where they like to grow. They are also associated with pine woods.

They are poisonous but can be used as a hallucinogenic if  prepared in the correct way (No don`t ask, I haven’t a clue).I have read that the visions gained by using it may have played a part in some of the scenes in `Alice Through the Looking Glass’. Naughty Mr Lewis Carroll If true ?
