Bumper sales at Averys Garden Centre

December 15th, 2014

Who ever thought that traditional Christmas tree sales would vanish, under the onslaught of those plastic trees from china. This weekend was the busies that we have ever been  at Averys Garden Centre and it was all down to real Xmas trees. There were six of us doing nothing but selling and netting  Christmas trees. It was reported this week by the Christmas tree growers association, that a few years ago ,50% of all trees were imported from abroad, but this year that is down to 30%.Which means of cause that over 70% of all Christmas trees sold in this country is British. When I look at the Christmas tree plantations on the Quantock

Christmas !!!! Humbug.
