New Season Roses

October 23rd, 2015

This week we had our roses delivered which come bare rooted,  which we then  pot up ready for sale. Before they can be potted into 4lt pots the tops  have to be pruned hard and the roots trimmed, to stimulate growth. They are then potted into compost to which is added a long lasting fertilizer, so the plants can grow strongly when planted next year. The fertilizer is expensive at £1oo for 25 kilos ,but we think it is worth it.
