Wild Flowers in Christmas trees

June 29th, 2014

At Averys Garden Centre we use chemicals very sparingly and try and encourage as much biodiversity on our site as possible.

We have a small plantation of Christmas trees and at this present time, they are a riot of colour due to the wildflowers growing among them.

Most commercial Christmas tree plantations keep the ground as clean as possible with weed killers, while we tolerate the weeds (wild flowers) at this time of year, as they look good and are a source of food for the butterflies and bees.

Wait to Christmas ,then we will look really colourful
